Routine is necessary for me to function effectively, I find it hard to know what to do with myself when I'm not being directed in some respect. It's part of growing up, I suppose, to be able to be successful, you need to be able to manage. Manage people, manage money, mangage time. Work out a way in which you can work most effectively in order to get the most out of whatever you do. Wasting time is unnecessary, if only you can organise your time appropriately, there would never be need to lose vital minutes. It is rare the case that I don't have the time for something, more that I haven't made the time for it. It'd be possible to get at least four or five times as much done if I was in any way efficient. A main part of the problem is motivation. If the motivation is severely lacking, it's approximately 72.4% harder to achieve anything worthwhile, ergo when even a tiny step is made towards success of a certain kind, the reward felt in overcoming only one small obstacle is hugely disproportionate to the achievement and in turn, hinders any further progress.
For reasons that I have the mind of a small child I find 'Arsole' amusing. I'm sure you've heard it all before :oP
ReplyDeleteProcrastination is only fun if you have things to do. That said getting something done leads to the most wonderful feeling of achievement - relish in that :o)

....But...what does it mean?! Clearly I was right to stick to the arts subjects. I haven't done anything sciencey in...5 years.
ReplyDeleteHannah, you, along with a room full of young adults... Of course, we couldn't help but snigger in a primary school way when we figured out that it was Arsole. It's not one of the heterocycles we need to know (organic chemists can't possibly cope with much more than C, H, N, O), but I thought I'd stick it in anyway :oP I'm funny like that...
