Sitting uncomfortably on a cheap wooden chair watching the world outside my window, my observations of the day are as follows:
- Three sets of people walking with erect umbrellas, even though I've been sitting here all morning, and there hasn't been a drop of rain. Maybe it's coming this way soon.
- The black cat that lives next-door.
- A couple I observed leaving on Thursday evening, with three suitcases between them, arriving back on the Monday morning.
- A person doing arm exercises as he walked along, holding a full bottle of water in one hand.
- Two pigeons scrapping. Maybe they were a married couple.
- Two young boys riding their bikes round and down and up and down the street.
- Two student boys throwing a rugby ball across and up and down the street.
- Tesco van unload the goods next-door-but-one.
- Boxer boy. This time fully clothed.
- Countless people walking by.
- A wasp. Hello, Summer.
It has also occured to me that over the weekend, I have seen more of my opposite-door neighbours than I have of my own-door housemates. I don't even know their names. This possibly makes me seem like a bit of a stalker, but in my defence, there's not much else to focus on, when you're sitting at a desk in front of a window you can't help but look out of it!
It feels like it's 5pm. It's not. Bang! Goodbye, Productive Bank Holiday Weekend.

ReplyDeleteUnderstatement of the century :-p
You should get a medal for services to procrastination, or something like that...
Quit messing about with your font yo, it's all itty bitty and tiny :oP
ReplyDeleteI can hear the Cathedral bells from where I'm sitting and it's pretty quiet outside, car noise-wise. There are some people outside having a bbq and in all honesty, it feels a bit european and relaxed.
lovely :o)
xx
You said "erect" *snigger*
ReplyDeleteHannah...I had a thought. You sure those are the cathedral bells? Don't suppose you could count them, could you? Because the cathedral bells should not have been doing anything this evening, whereas St Stephen's bells were, and I know, because I was making them make noise.
Flix: Congrats on the procrastination. I sunbathed and got lightly burnt.
Hide and Seek? That's currently one of my favourite songs!
ReplyDeleteI'd say something more constructive/amusing/worthwhile listening to, except that for three out of hte last four nights I went to bed at five in the morning. Which, for me, is unusual AND DISASTROUS.
