Dual Honours

Today, I have an easy workload.

How to annoy me?

Claim your degree is more difficult, more awkward, more hard work than anybody else's, ever.

You DON'T have to stay up 'til 6am, you're CHOOSING to stay up all night, after CHOOSING to spend the whole weekend in BED, getting no work done. You COULD go out tomorrow to celebrate the end of your oral exam, but you will CHOOSE to go out on Saturday instead, to see some of your clients and take a different kind of oral examination. Whatever, just because they're not paying you doesn't make you any less of a WHORE.

ARGH. Generally, I don't tend to get too bothered by it, but seriously "Oh, I wish I could go to bed at midnight, I just have so much work, it's unfair!" You could go to bed, but most of the time you're too busty having sex to even think about sleep or study. Priorities, people, priorities.

Exams start in two weeks.

    *titters*

yeh, that's a pet hate of mine as well. I *hate* the phrase "I'm too busy for ... ". It's just another way of saying "I don't want to make time for ... ". And when students are busy, it's generally* because they've been lazy at some other time.

Those sorts of conversations where people try to "boast" about who has the most work are quite amusing. I mean, seriously, who cares?

    * I know some students genuinely are really busy, but they're a rare breed.

  2. Make a bomb.

Right there, easy, problem solved. :oP

I've discovered at Uni there are people who like to moan and think they have it worse than anyone - it's almost like they enjoy having it 'worse' but they have to spread that love with everyone.

Nah, mate. We're all in the same boat, getting sicksea along the way.

    srsly, bombs the way

  3. I was ranting about this to Dickie on MSN last night.

No, they're not the only ones who have a hell of a lot of work and a hell of a lot of stress. We still need to live together and yes, that does require them to lift their finger from their books on occasion. The problem in my house isn't too little degree work - it's too much...

  4. Hannah, I live with one of the aforementioned people and it's incredibly infuriating. All in all, I have a fairly light workload, so I'm lucky. Except when it comes to exams, because then I have more work than anyone else on the planet EVAH and you should all sympathise with me and...I dunno, give me presents or something.

Ha, it's funny, with my coursemates we have all the letting off steam re housemates, and it seems like I'm the only one who doesn't have such a problem with dishes and dirt. Not that I live in a dump, but sometimes I think, hey, chill a bit, ay? I suppose in a sense, I am a bit of a slut, but only in terms of housekeeping ;o)

    - you, and a couple of my housemates. Must be the Chemistry thing ;-)

For me, it's just more stress that I don't need, especially as it's a stress that has been building up all year. It's funny, I never thought of myself as particularly domesticated until I saw what I was comparing myself to...

  7. Cutting! In my uni friendship group we are all too geeky to go out and have sex all the time, so it's not a problem.

I love being busy. Just not with essays. My only pet annoyance at uni is people complaining about 9am lectures...otherwise I don't seem to mind much what people do.
