Kissing Frogs

Today, I have been offered a option.

You have to kiss a lot of frogs to finally find your prince.

Indeed, it is simple to see where this arises from, and the logic behind it. If you never try out the frogs, how do you know if they could turn out to be a prince? There's truth in the claim of judging a person within 30 seconds of meeting them, and sometimes it becomes all too easy to take that rule of thumb a bit too much to heart. Initial attraction is an essential aspect of interaction of a certain kind, and the whole idea of kissing frogs for the sake of it, as a proof, as a conquest has never really appealed to me. There's satisfication in discovering you're attractive, but at the end of it, that's enough for me at the moment. Once there's the option, the prospect isn't half as appealing. In the end, I find myself scared, underprepared and going nowhere. How long must you wait for it?

Maybe you should kiss someone nice,
Or lick a rock,
Or both.

  1. people are just people
    they shouldn't make you nervous
the world is everlasting, it's coming and it's going...
...and if you kiss somebody then both of you'll get practice
    the world is everlasting

    Take a chance
