Rainbow Butterflies

Today, I have coloured-in.

I’d like to rationalise this statement. Perhaps by saying that I study Geography, therefore colouring-in ability is an essential skill for my degree. Perhaps by saying that I am a Young Leader at Brownies, therefore I needed to have an example of what we are going to create this week. Perhaps by saying that because colouring-in is cathartic and frees the mind of its troubles, my therapist suggested I try it. I’m afraid none of these are the correct explanation - though the last one may have some truth to it - the real reason is that I am secretly a seven-year-old girl, masquerading as a university student and sometimes I like to revert to activities more commonly practised among my own peer group...

It offsets the complexity of quantum mechanics. Plus, it’s really fun - you grown-ups should try it sometime.

  1. I was going to get all 'Geography is not a proper degree' and how on earth is it connected to Chemistry when I realised a) you told me none of those things were true and b) I knew it all anyway.
