Dinitrogen Diflouride

Today, I have made trans-N2F2

Photobucket

The short tube is a double bond with a nitrogen atom each end. The long tubes are single bonds each attached to a flourine atom. There is also a lone pair of electrons at each nitrogen atom. Twenty-five percent of my module is based on this species. I know next to nothing about it other than what it looks like. Instead, I have spent my time playing with a molecular model kit and photo-altering software. What a way to play the day away.
