Today, I have been to a friend's leaving drinks.
I took the plunge and took the train, after work, to a city I don't live in, to have drinks with a couple of people I know and a bunch of others I've not met before. London feels like a lonely place to live in. So many people, but none of them dare catch your eye. I am used to saying hi to people as we cross by; they don't do that in London. I don't think I would want to live there.
My friend is off to work in a city in Europe. I hope that will mean another weekend away, with free accommodation included! It is a bit sad to have so many friends spread all over the world, but it is quite fun to get take trips to visit them.
